New hangout joint! a.k.a socializing....

Finally!
Picture it; a group of girls drop of from the bus, ties lose, sweaters off, bags hanging, and lots of LOUDDDD laughter and disses!

There is a new joint opening between this month and next at Valley Arcade. Even a "quiet" (i'm not really) girly like me...you'll be seeing me around there with the Bus 4, Kile...gang!  The usual suspects (V, Sensitive (that's u babe, remember peermentoring names??), Lyd- those white glasses rock!, Try, Dai, Lath...and whoever else!)

This brings me to my new focus;

Be outgoing. Being shy won’t win you any new friends. You’re going to have to get out there and talk to people. You cannot be afraid to talk to others.
Whether it’s chatting up people in class or at lunch, sitting and talking to different people, getting out and about, getting the best grade on tests or winning an athletic contest, make your name known. Everybody needs to know who you are.
Like people and show it. Be friendly and interested in people, and many of them will like you back. You don't win popularity by hiding in the corner or expecting people to approach you and suddenly appreciate you for the true gem you are. If you're shy, make friends with really outgoing people. They will encourage you to talk to other people, and soon it will be easy for you. Make sure to talk about things that other people are interested in.
People are really passionate about talking about their interests.(Be yourself) If you're the humorous type, throw in a joke now and then, but only when the time is right. You'll look stupid if you joke around at the wrong time.

"Shuffle shame" is when your mp3 music player is playing on speakers in shuffle mode, and somebody enters the room at the exact moment the worst song of your collection is being played.

Facebooger-

	An unsightly or unwanted comment or post left on your facebook profile or wall. e.g. Ah man! Someone left a facebooger on my prom picture... :( How do I get rid of this facebooger that someone just left on my wall?!

Faceboo-hooer-
A Facebook whiner. Someone whose Facebook status updates constantly refer to a state of sadness, despair or gloom.

Faceboocrastinatin'- 

Faceboocrastinating is the putting aside of primary tasks in order to spend time on facebook

'Hey man do you want to join our study group?'
'Yeah I'll join but I'll probably just spend my time faceboocrastinating.'

 Facebook Chicken-

	When two people would like to add each other as friends, but don't want to be the ones who make the friend invitation. This puts them in a game of Facebook Chicken, where they wait until the first person gives in to making the first add invitation.

Relationships are a wierd thing...there are situations in life that are really hard to prepare for. How do you talk to someone who is so trapped in a web of deceipt and pain?

Where do you draw the line?

Is it ok to detach from a friend even if they have confided private things? Even if what they tell you goes against everything you believe and they know it? What the difference between setting boundaries and judging?!

People almost always have different expectations of intimacy.

Some people want to move right next to your heart, set up camp and damp their dirty, filthy laundry all over your arteries!!

Reasons?
-Headbands disguise bad hair days and frizz

-They are a chic and subtle way of expressing yourself...ur fav color, ur mood...even the most conservative girlie could wear something risque like leather or animal print!

-SOOO girly and feminine, in these days of butch, aggressive fashion...it's oh so gorgeous to be ladylike!

-what other fashion piece could be so practicle and comfortable?

-seriously how long does it take to put one on?!!

Today is International women's day!! I have it from a credible source (my Romanian teacher) that in some of the more romantic, parts of the world this is a less-cliche, less-overhyped Valentines like day....never would have guessed that.

Thought of the day.

Treat the women in your life, ur sister, mom, auntie, niece, friend with the love and tender care they deserve. They played a part in who you are today, so give that little something. A smile, a compliment, a hug, a positive thought. Share laughter, fun, joy, sadness and most importantly LOVE!

Me and my girls

Shout out to a certain girlie with whom we share many heartfelt bus ride talks (I hope ur reading this!). Our conversation got me thinking about the special place my girl friends have in my heart.
There are acquintances, friends, enemies, random people who annoy you in queues and then there are my sisters.
A certain girlie who I've had TOTALLY amazing conversations with in the field and through lots of AMAZING emails...another certain girlie living in France who I shared lots of boy talk...one who is spontaneous,fun, crazy, wild and streetwise who just bought me a soda and chips this afternoon (thanks babe), a coy, clever certain someone with whom I'm hoping to blog with...
